Greetings from the Commodore (2008)

Welcome to the Pensacola Beach Yacht Club’s 21st annual Race for the Roses. Over the years, this has become one of the premier regattas and events our club sponsors. This year, the race has been designated the Gulf Yachting Association Women’s PHRF Championship and will be raced on both Saturday and Sunday with social events on Saturday.

Friday, Aug 1	5 :00-6 PM	Late Registration
	6:00 PM	"Taste of Pensacola Beach" - Heavy Hors D'oeuvres
	5:30 - 7:30 PM	Raffle Tickets on Sale - Buy a ticket for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 for a chance to win wonderful prizes donated by local businesses.
	7:30 PM	Skippers Meeting - All Skippers or a boat representative must attend. Goodie bags will be given to Skippers or boat representative in attendance. Skippers or boat representative are responsible for disseminating these items to their entire crew. No goodie bags will be given out on Saturday. Immediately following Skippers Meeting, Raffle begins.
Saturday, Aug 2	12:00 Noon	Race Begins
	6:30 PM (approximate)	Buffet--$5 suggested donation
	6:00-10:00 PM	Band on deck for your dancing enjoyment
Sunday, Aug 3	10:00 AM	Race Begins
	After Race	Trophy Presentation as soon as possible after race.
